Weighdial

Privacy Policy

Effective October 11, 2026

The short version

Who we are

Weighdial is published by an independent developer in the United States (the "Service Provider", "we", "us"). Questions about this policy: sendfeedbackus@gmail.com.

What you enter, and where it stays

Everything you give the app is stored only on your device, in a SQLite database in the app's private storage:

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. We have no copy of it, so we cannot see it, recover it or hand it over.

Reminders

Reminders are local notifications that your phone schedules and shows by itself. Weighdial does not use a push-notification service and never asks for a push token.

Export, restore and deleting

Device backups

Your phone's own backup, such as iCloud Backup or Android's backup to your Google account, may include Weighdial's data, depending on your phone's settings. Those backups are made and stored by Apple or Google under their privacy policies, not by us.

What we do not do

What Apple and Google may tell us

Like every app developer, we can see anonymous, aggregate numbers from the App Store and Google Play, such as how many people installed the app. If you choose to share diagnostics with app developers in your phone's settings, Apple or Google may also give us crash reports. These come from Apple and Google under their own policies, and they do not contain your weigh-ins.

Once you have used the app for a while, Weighdial may ask, once, how it is working for you. Your answer stays on your phone unless you send it to us in the mail described below. If you tell us it is going well, your phone may show Apple's or Google's own rating prompt; what you give there goes to Apple or Google under their policies, not to the app, and we see only what they show every developer, such as the star totals and any review you write, which is public.

If you email us

If you write to support, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to answer you, and we do not share them. A message you start from the app's own question about how it is working for you ends with a line giving the app's version, your phone's system version and the answer you gave, so that we can help; you can delete it before sending.

Children

Weighdial is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app does not collect it from anyone.

Health information

Weighdial is a tracking tool. It does not give medical or diet advice, and it is not a medical device. Talk to a clinician about decisions for your health.

Your choices and rights

Because your data stays on your device, you are in control of it: you can see, change, export and delete all of it in the app at any time. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to access, correct, delete or port on request. If you have a question, email us and we will answer.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. If a future version of Weighdial ever collects any data, for example for optional sync, this policy and the store privacy labels will be updated before that version is released, and the feature will be optional.
